Green Solutions to Air Pollution

Story of York and Ray Street Greenspace

We have been spending some time on York Boulevard near Ray Street in a green space helping with the Pollinators Paradise Project by building garden beds and helping with a bit of maintenance.  We are pleased to note that the City has planted a number of native trees in the space, including this Tulip Tree that is currently in flower.

The Pollinator Project team has to partnered with Hess Street Elementary School and local artist Gerten Basom to create a large, celebratory mural.  The mural was installed last week and it is a great addition to the green space.

MuralA BIG congratulations to the Pollinator Project team, Gerten, Hess School and the City, who installed the mural.  So many people came together and helped create this colourful, well-designed, happy, fun piece of art.
Great to see native trees, pollinator patches, and art come together!
